Data Metrics Explained

Understanding views and analytics

About View Counts

View counts represent the number of times a work page has been viewed by users other than the author.

Views from the author's own account are not counted, so there is no need to worry.

Membership & Supported Works

Even for works restricted to membership or individual support, views are counted as soon as a user opens the work page. The view is counted regardless of whether the user has purchased or subscribed — simply accessing the page counts.

This means that views from users who visit the page to see sample images or previews are also included in the count.

Scheduled & Private Works

Scheduled works are only viewable by those who know the URL, and page views are counted even while the work is unpublished.

* Private works are viewable only by the author's own account.

URLs are generated in a random and unpredictable format, so in principle, no one other than the author can access them.
